We pursue this mission through the legacy of our mother, who was not only innovative and passionate about caring for others, but she was a true leader. The legacy of ALMA Corp lives on through her children, as we continue to live out her prayers for us. We the founders would like to offer ALMA (A Legacy of Mama’s Anointing) to youth and Young Adults that they may be guided in the way to a better tomorrow.

Who We Are
ALMA Corporation - A Legacy of Moma's Anointing was founded in 2019 by three family members: Valerie Perry, Michelle Hale (sisters) and Shaneika Perry (Valerie's daughter). What started out as a conversation discussing issues within our community and today's society, quickly blossomed into an opportunity to be an outlet and model for our youth. We decided to take our inherited gifts and utilize them to uplift, mentor, counsel, and educate the youth in our community for generations to come.
The name and overall concept of ALMA Corporation derives from our beloved Mother/Grandmother, Alma Lee Hunter. "Moma", as she was known to all those around her, was a remarkable woman. A devout Christian, spending all of her life dedicated to church and assisting in her community. The term "stranger" didn't exist for her, as she would and could hold a conversation with anyone she met. Because of this and her excellent listening abilities, she was able to mentor and minister to people everywhere she went. Moma was a big advocate for education and she loved children. She raised 10 children on her own, and even raised several of her Grandchildren from childhood to adulthood. Before her significant decline in health, Moma played a vital role in helping to care for a few of her Great-Grandchildren as well. She was called Home July 2009, due to stage 4 bone cancer. She left behind an endless list of family, friends, and lives that she's impacted in some form or another throughout her journey of doing "God's business". Among all of the memories and lessons that she's taught her children/grandchildren, we will hold closest to being a strong, positive influence in the community, educating and guiding our children, and continuing to do "God's business". It's with our Mother/Grandmother in mind, along with the values that she's instilled in us , that we are humbled to be able to continue her mission on a greater platform. With ALMA Corporation, her name, along with her life's teachings, will forever live on for generations to come.
